IQNA – While the oppressed people of Palestine and many Islamic countries were under the oppression and aggression of the Zionist regime, some Arab countries strengthened their secret relations with this ill-fated regime; a behavior that the Holy Quran narrates a severe threat against.

Holy Quran

In Verses 14 to 22 of Surah Mujadila, the Holy Quran mentions the story of a group of hypocrites who established friendly relations with the Jews: “Have you not seen those who have established friendship with the people who are subject to the wrath of God? They do not belong to you nor you to them, yet they knowingly try to prove their point by using false oaths.” (Mujadila: 14).

These people are neither Muslims nor Jews, but according to the reality of their situation, they are affiliated with the Jews: “Whosoever of you takes them for a guide shall become one of their number.” (Al-Ma’idah: 51).

The Holy Quran condemns them for this deviation and threatens them with punishment (Al-Mujadila: 15). Then it says that the hypocrites are from the party of Satan and the losers. It then explains that they are enemies of God and His Messenger through their opposition and stubbornness, and for this reason they are among the most despised of God’s creation (Al-Mujadila: 19-20).

In Verse 22, it says: “You will not find any people of faith in God and the Day of Judgment who would establish friendship with those who oppose God and His Messenger,…” (Al-Mujadilah: 22).

The statement that you will not find such believers is an allusion to the fact that belief in Allah and the Day of Judgment does not make one with such characteristics; it is impossible for a person who truly believes in Allah and His Messenger and the Day of Judgment to befriend the enemies of Allah.

Then God Almighty praises the believers because of their hatred of enemies and makes beautiful promises: “Those, He has written upon their hearts faith and strengthened them with a spirit from Him. He will admit them to Paradise wherein streams flow to live therein forever.” (Verse 22)

Those who are under the eternal rivers, may God be pleased with them, and those who are pleased with him are the party of God, except that they are also the party of God.

The first promise is the faith that has settled deep in their souls. Then it promises confirmation and entry into Paradise. The promise of divine satisfaction is also a special mercy that includes sincere believers in God; these people with sincere faith are the party of God Almighty and the successful, “These are members of the party of God and the party of God will certainly have everlasting happiness,” while those hypocrites are the losers and the party of Satan.
