According to radioalgerie, this historical Quran was reprinted in 2022 by order of Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the president of Algeria, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the country’s independence.
This Quran, which was published in Algeria decades ago, is an important reference for learning about how the Quran is taught in Quranic schools and zawayas (traditional Quranic schools) in this country.
The Rodossi Mushaf accompanied the fighters of the Algerian Liberation Revolution during their struggle against French colonialism, and throughout the modern history of this country, it has become an inseparable part of the heritage through which Algerians have preserved their religious and national identity.
This Mushaf, having become famous in the countries of the Sahel, became known as the “Algerian Quran” and was distributed free of charge among the nations of this region in order to strengthen Algeria’s deep historical and spiritual ties with Africa.
This Quran is also distributed in various regions of the Islamic world in line with Algeria’s efforts to serve the Quran and spread and strengthen Islamic values.
