
The two schools were opened by the UAE's Qasimiyyah University in the cities of Tuba and Sagata with the aim of providing a specialized educational environment for memorizing the Quran and teaching Quranic sciences to the local community, Sharjah 24 reported.
Jamal Salem Al-Turaifi, president of Qasimiyyah University, Saeed Hamdan Al-Naqbi, the UAE ambassador to Senegal, and a number of religious and social officials and figures attended the opening ceremony of the two schools.
The plan for establishing the schools was implemented in line with Qasimiyyah University's projects on the African continent.
Supporting the education and dissemination of the Quran and Quranic sciences and strengthening Islamic values in African societies have been announced as the goals of the project.
These two Quranic schools were opened to provide a specialized educational environment for memorizing the Quran and teaching Quranic sciences to children of the local community, to raise a generation familiar with and committed to Quranic teachings, and to strengthen the values of moderation emphasized in the programs and activities of Qasimiyyah University.

By implementing such projects, the university also strives to help its graduates benefit from working as instructors and supervisors of Quran memorization in supervised educational centers in African countries.
