African Quran Competition Wraps Up in Senegal’s Capital

IQNA – The closing ceremony of the second Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Competition for the Memorization of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah was held in the capital of Senegal.

According to the Muslimsaroundtheworld, in an event that demonstrates the global presence of Saudi Arabia's Quranic projects, the judging panel of the competition concluded its work in Dakar after listening to the recitations of 100 participants from 53 countries during two days of intensive competitions.

The Quranic event was held under the supervision of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia and was accompanied by high precision and organization, and close competition between participants in various branches of Quranic and Prophetic Sunnah memorization.

The wide participation from various African countries demonstrates the global interest in Quranic competitions and their role in promoting Quran memorization and instilling Islamic values ​​in future generations.

The closing ceremony was held with the virtual presence of Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, the Saudi minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and was covered by more than 30 satellite channels.

The total value of the prizes exceeded 2,100,000 Saudi riyals, indicating significant support for these initiatives.
