333 Quran Memorizers Honored in Istanbul

IQNA – A ceremony was held in Istanbul, Turkey, to honor more than 300 memorizers of the Holy Quran.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the graduation ceremony of the group of memorizers.

It took place this past Friday, April 24, 2026, before Friday prayers.

A total of 333 students of Quran memorization who had studied at schools for congregational imams and preachers and Quran memorization institutes graduated at the ceremony.

The memorizers attended the ceremony wearing clothes with the Turkish and Palestinian flags.

After the ceremony, Erdogan attended the Friday prayers with his entourage at the same location.

The Friday prayer sermons were delivered in Turkish, as well as Arabic, English and Japanese.
