IQNA – A new branch of the Imam Tayeb Quranic School was opened at the Al-Azhar Center for Teaching Arabic to Non-Arab Speakers in Egypt.

A new branch of the Imam Tayeb Quranic School was opened at the Al-Azhar Center for Teaching Arabic to Non-Arab Speakers in Egypt.

The school was inaugurated in the presence of Nahla Al-Saidi, advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar for foreign students and head of Al-Azhar’s Center for Developing the Education of Foreign and Non-Arab Students, in the former headquarters of the Al-Shabini School, which has been transformed into a center for teaching Arabic to non-Arab speakers, El-Balad reported.

This branch was opened in response to the increase in the number of students registered at the school and in response to their desire to join the circles of memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran.

Al-Saidi said that the Imam Tayeb School is one of Al-Azhar’s pioneering Quranic projects in the field of memorizing the Quran, aimed at spreading Quranic sciences and teachings among foreign students.

She said it plays an important role in strengthening Islamic moderation and the scientific, moral and behavioral development of students.

She added that the school is not only dedicated to memorizing the Quran but also has put efforts to help the students master the rules of recitation, ponder over the meanings of the Quran, and become familiar with Quranic sciences.

It teaches foreign students numerous skills in the field of teaching the Holy Quran and its sciences, and prepares them to convey the global moderate message of Al-Azhar to their own lands so that they can be ambassadors of moderation and moderation, she stated.
