IQNA – A Quranic station dedicated to the pilgrims was set up in the holy city of Kadhimiya, Iraq, on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS).

The Holy Quran Scientific Assembly affiliated with the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine has launched the station, Al-Kafeel reported.

It is part of the Astan’s programs aimed at spreading the Quranic culture and serving pilgrims on religious occasions.

Muhammad Umair Al-Saadi, an official with the assembly, said this station offers a program to teach pilgrims how to correctly recite the Quran.

He added that on the martyrdom anniversary, a number of Quranic events and activities are also held to serve the pilgrims of Imam Jawad (AS).

These measures will help strengthen the spiritual atmosphere and spread the teachings of the Holy Quran among different segments of society as millions of pilgrims visit the holy city, he noted.

Imam Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Musa (also known as Imam Jawad and Imam Muhammad Taqi) is the ninth of the Twelve Imams and a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
