Iraqi Interior Minister Coordinates Security for Imam Jawad Martyrdom Ceremony

IQNA – The Iraqi interior minister emphasized the intensification of preemptive intelligence activities and the establishment of special patrols on the routes leading to Kadhimiya on the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS).

A meeting of Iraq security officials and the Popular Mobilization Units was held in Baghdad ahead of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS).

 

Abdul Amir Al-Shammari attended a meeting with senior security officials and the Popular Mobilization Units on coordinating security measures for the ceremony marking the anniversary.

He issued special orders regarding the intelligence plan to ensure security for pilgrims.

In this meeting, al-Shammari  emphasized the deployment and deployment of security teams on all roads and routes leading to the holy city of Kadhimiya, raising the level of alertness on all axes, the peripheral parts of the capital, and the entrances leading to the holy shrine.

These measures are part of the Iraqi government's comprehensive plan to manage the large number of pilgrims who will travel to Kadhimiya from various places in the coming days.

Kadhimiya is a northern neighborhood of the city of Baghdad, Iraq. It is home to the holy shrines of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) and Imam Jawad (AS).
