
It said security measures for the mourning rituals marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS) in the city of Kadhimiya this year will not include any road closures.
Also, Muhammad Ali Al-Hassoun, spokesman for the Iraqi interior ministry, said that based on the recommendations of the committee, there will be no road closures given the importance of smooth traffic and helping pilgrims and citizens.
Noting that buses have been allocated to transport pilgrims, he emphasized the importance of civilized and humane interaction in the security and service areas and full cooperation with the convoys of pilgrims.
Imam Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Musa (also known as Imam Jawad and Imam Muhammad Taqi) is the ninth of the Twelve Imams and a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
