The 11th Philippine Halal Trade and Tourism Expo (PHTTE) 2026, slated for June 3–5 at SMX Davao, will focus on ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) collaboration, innovation, tourism, and community development.
This year’s theme, “Leading the ASEAN Wave: Advancing the Halal Ecosystem from Local Excellence to Global Sustainability will feature international halal trade exhibits, Philippine Halal Industry Summit, business-to-business networking sessions, halal tourism promotion and destination marketing, investment and trade matching, innovation and technology forums, cultural and heritage presentations, MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), and community empowerment programs.
There will also be a three-day free medical services event as part of the expo’s humanitarian and community outreach initiatives.
International delegates and strategic partners from ASEAN countries, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei, with special participation from some Middle Eastern countries. “These will create opportunities for investment, trade, collaboration, tourism promotion, and business expansion,” says Marilou Ampuan, founder and CEO of the Philippine Halal Trade and Tourism Expo.
“This event aims to strengthen the Philippines position as an emerging halal hub in the ASEAN Region while fostering international collaboration among government agencies, diplomatic missions, investors, tourism stakeholders, halal certifying bodies, academe, and global halal industry experts,” Ampuan added.
The collaboration on the halal ecosystem will benefit Davao as the region positions itself as Mindanao’s halal hub.
“Davao is being made as a benchmark for the collaboration, and one of the highlights of the event is the soft opening of the universal halal hub, which is a platform that will help MSMEs to be more competitive,” Ampuan said.

Another highlight of the expo is the Philippine Halal Industry Summit, which will be held on June 4, and to be attended by industry leaders, stakeholders, including policymakers, and international experts to discuss key developments and opportunities related to halal.
The summit will also feature discussions on “Innovation and Technology in the Halal Value Chain,” emphasizing the importance of digital transformation, research, global partnerships, and sustainable solutions in strengthening the national halal ecosystem.
