Details of Martyred Leader’s Funeral Announced
The Headquarters said in a statement on Saturday that following the martyrdom of the esteemed and the wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic world is mourning the loss of a great man who spent his entire blessed life in the way of upholding the word of truth, defending Islam, serving the people and guiding the Islamic Ummah.
That martyred Leader, with firm faith, sincere struggle, steadfast patience, and divine insight, always held high the banner of the independence of the beloved Iran and the guidance and honor of the Islamic Ummah, the statement said.
The name and memory of that unique era in the history of our beloved Iran, the Islamic world, and the hearts of the free people of the world will remain eternal, it emphasized.
Offering condolences to Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), Leader of the Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, and all free nations devoted to the path of truth, the Headquarters expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation for the passionate and loyal presence of the people of Iran and all lovers of Islam and the revolution.
It went on to say that the farewell ceremonies for the sacred body of the martyred Leader and his family members — Dr. Mesbah al-Hoda Baqeri Kani, Seyyedeh Boshra Hosseini Khamenei, Zahra Haddad Adel, and Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani (may God bless them all) — will be held on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, corresponding to the 19th and 20th of Muharram, at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall).
On Monday, July 6, corresponding to the 21st of Muharram, the funeral procession ceremony will be held in Tehran, and on Tuesday, July 7, corresponding to the 22nd of Muharram, another funeral procession ceremony will take place in the holy city of Qom, the statement noted.

The final funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 9, corresponding to the 24th of Muharram and the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad (AS), in the holy city of Mashhad, followed by burial at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), it added.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was martyred in US-Israeli strikes on his office in Tehran on February 28.
