Italian Demonstrators Demand Severing Ties with Israel

IQNA – Supporters of Palestine in Italy gathered in front of the Rome city hall to call for cutting ties with the Zionist regime.

Protesters held a rally in the Capidoglio Square on Thursday, criticizing the Rome city hall for continuing ties with the Israeli regime despite Tel Aviv’s genocidal war in Gaza.

The protesters called on the local authorities in Rome to suspend all cooperation agreements with the Zionist regime.

The demonstration was held as the city council meeting was underway, and the protesters tried to draw the council’s attention to their demands.

They held up Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in support of Palestine.

The protesters also condemned the Zionist regime's continued attacks on Lebanon.

Maya Issa, head of the Palestinian Student Movement in Italy, was present in the rally.

He called on the Rome city hall to end all cooperation agreements with Tel Aviv.
