
One person was hospitalized after the shooting. According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were called to the Omar Ibn El-Khattab Mosque on Riverview Drive, off Olentangy River Road, around 1:25 p.m. for a reported shooting.
Columbus Police Sgt. James Fuqua said a man was shot at the location and transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital. Police said he is expected to survive.
Upon arrival, officers learned the shooting stemmed from a dispute between a security officer at the mosque and two tow truck drivers.
The treasurer of the mosque, Noorgul Dada, told 10TV that the person who was shot was their security guard. According to Dada, the security guard was directing traffic when a tow truck tried to get through. The security guard reportedly told the tow truck driver to wait and a physical altercation broke out.

According to Dada, a driver from a second tow truck saw the fight, went back to his truck, got a gun and shot the security guard in the shoulder.
Officers later discovered the man was accidentally shot when he was attempting to disarm the driver, police said.
Details on whether anyone has been arrested have not been released.
