“We should not assume that this war is over; rather, the confrontation with the arrogance front continues,” the Shia source of emulation said in a message on Sunday about the farewell and funeral ceremonies of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei that began in Tehran on Friday.
With the farewell and funeral of the holy body of the martyred leader of the revolution, the heartbreaking grief of the loss of that wise fighter was renewed once again, he said in the message.
“Undoubtedly, the large attendance of the people at these ceremonies will be a manifestation of loyalty to the lofty ideals of the Islamic Revolution and a sign of the perseverance of the great Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah and the continuation of the bright path of the martyrs.”
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi added, “We should not assume that this war is over; rather, the confrontation with the arrogance front continues. Therefore, any instillation of despair, weakness, deadlock, and weakening of the morale of the people, officials, and armed forces is in line with the enemy's wishes and against the interests of the country and the Islamic Ummah. Of course, hope and perseverance never mean ignoring the realities of the field; rather, patience and persistence are among the most important factors for victory in divine tests.”
He added that the perpetrators of this great crime whose hands are stained with the blood of that dear martyr, commanders, officials, defenseless people, and oppressed children, will not be immune from divine retribution and just punishment, and these pure bloods will never be forgotten, and the Islamic Ummah will pursue its duty in seeking revenge for the blood of these martyrs within the framework of the standards of Sharia and law.

He went on to say that officials, armed forces, and all decision-makers must, by relying on God Almighty, trusting in divine promises, utilizing all the capacities of the country, and relying on the faith, patience, and perseverance of the people, stand against the enemy with prudence, authority, and vigilance, whether in the military, diplomatic, or other fields; because experience has shown that any retreat in the face of the aggressor enemy will embolden him to continue his aggression and excesses.
The senior cleric also said that the Islamic Revolution is based on the progressive principle of Wilayat Faqih, and thanks to this principle, it has overcome difficult obstacles and numerous conspiracies of the enemies.
He added that today, more than ever, maintaining national unity and solidarity is an undeniable necessity, and differences of opinion, even if they arise from correct motives, should not provide the basis for division and weakening of the domestic front.
