Imam Khamenei’s Martyrdom Doubles Power of Resistance: Hezbollah Official

IQNA – The deputy head of the Lebanese Hezbollah Political Council emphasized Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s martyrdom gave double power to the Islamic resistance groups and the free people of the world.

Speaking to IQNA on the sidelines of funeral and farewell ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran, Mahmoud Qamati said this martyrdom gave new life to the axis of resistance and in particular to the Iranian nation and strengthened the solidarity and unity against conspiracies.

“The truth is that martyred Ayatollah Khamenei paid great attention to the axis of resistance and did not fail in helping the resistance front. He supported all resistance groups in the region with all his might and with all the means at his disposal.”

Regarding the reason why the martyred Leader supported the cause of Palestine and al-Quds, he pointed out one of the main tasks of the axis of resistance and clarified. “Palestine is the compass of the Arab world and the Islamic world, and for this reason, from the very first moment after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) (emphasized the importance of Palestine). The martyred Leader of the revolution also had the same approach and gave special attention and importance to Palestine until he was martyred for the cause of Palestine, truth and justice.”

Qamati also elaborated on the most important factors that prevented the axis of resistance from being defeated in the face of the pressures and conspiracies of the enemies.

One of the most important factors in the strength of the axis of resistance is that the axis is in favor of the truth and supports the truth and stands against falsehood, oppression and global arrogance, he said.

“While faith in God Almighty is the basis of resistance and stability, the unity of the fields has also given this axis extraordinary power to confront oppression.

Asked about the martyred Leader’s emphasis on unity among Islamic countries and gathering around the axis of resistance, he noted that unity is a factor of power, just as Imam Khomeini (RA) also emphasized unity among Muslims.

“Unity among Arab and Islamic countries brings strength, and for this reason, the martyred Leader of the revolution emphasized Islamic unity.”

The Hezbollah official further talked about martyred Leader’s views about religions and sects. “Just as the martyred Leader emphasized unity among Arab and Islamic countries, he also had an open view of most religions and sects and demanded that we be freed from the closed spaces we are trapped in and support truth and justice.”
