Karbala to Welcome First Arbaeen Pilgrim

IQNA – The pure body of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei will be taken to Iraq's holy shrines for pilgrimage, marking the first such journey in 69 years.

Ahead of the funeral procession, the Karbala Governorate welcomed the occasion by displaying a banner reading, "Welcome to the First Arbaeen Pilgrim of This Year," in tribute to the martyred Leader.

The gesture was presented as preparations were underway to receive the funeral procession, symbolically honoring the late Leader's arrival at the holy shrines in Iraq.

The funeral procession in Iraq will be held in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala on Wednesday.
