A Thousand Quranic Gatherings Planned across Iran in Commemoration of Martyred Leader

IQNA – An Iranian Quranic official announced the holding of 1,000 Quran recitation circles across the country this week in commemoration of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani, secretary of Iran’s Quranic Headquarters, added that thousands of Khatm Qurans (reading the Quran from beginning to end) will also be organized in the country.

The main Quran recitation circle, which is planned with the aim of honoring and venerating the noble position of the martyred Leader and renewing allegiance with his ideals, will take place on Wednesday night in Vali-Asr Square in Tehran, he said.

He added that the gathering will be broadcast live on the Quran TV.

Among other goals of holding these Quranic events is to declare readiness to sacrifice oneself in the path of Leader of the Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, Mirzajani stated.

The approach of these gatherings is popular and recitation-oriented, he added.

Mirzajani also highlighted the Quranic programs held during the farewell and funeral programs held in Iran and Iraq for the martyred Leader last week.
