Rahim Ghorbani told IQNA that in this ceremony, distinguished and international qaris will recite the divine verses continuously.

Considering the distinguished Quranic personality of martyred Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and the special affinity he always had with the Holy Quran, the National Quranic Headquarters and the Supreme Quran Council began extensive planning from the very first days to create an atmosphere filled with spirituality and Quran recitation at the venue of the ceremony., he noted

With the coordination made between the country's Quranic headquarters and the officials holding the ceremony, it has been decided that during the entire duration of the farewell and funeral ceremony in the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla, one of the country’s distinguished and well-known reciters will recite the Quran every hour so that the atmosphere of the ceremony will be accompanied by the pleasant sounds of divine verses, Ghorbani stated.

In addition to this program, he said, another important proposal was presented by the Quranic headquarters, which was welcomed by the organizers, and that is to hold continuous recitation of the Quran throughout the entire 48 hours of the farewell ceremony with the distinguished and international qaris of the country reciting the divine verses without interruption.

These programs are a tribute from the Quranic community to the martyred Leader, he said, adding, “Our dear Leader always sought his peace in listening to and reciting the Quran and conveyed this peace to the society. Therefore, we have tried to hold the farewell ceremony with the Quran as its centerpiece.”
