IQNA – A prominent Iranian Quran expert and reciter described martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei as an embodiment of Quranic life in the contemporary era.

Abbas Salimi

Speaking to IQNA, Abbas Salimi emphasized that the martyred Leader cannot be introduced in just one dimension of Quranic activities.

“A personality whose entire thought, behavior, management, and lifestyle were shaped around the teachings of revelation, was considered the embodiment of Quranic life in our time and left a lasting legacy of thought and practice in the Quran for the Islamic society.”

Referring to the lasting legacy of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in the field of the Holy Quran and the duties of the Quranic community in preserving this legacy, he said many activists in the field of Quran become well-known figures and role models for the Quranic community in the light of years of effort and practice in a specialized field.

“Most people who have dedicated their lives to one of the Quranic fields, such as reciting, memorizing, translating, or interpreting the Quran, ultimately become known as a reciter, memorizer, translator, or interpreter of the Quran through continuous struggle, and their names become immortal among Quran lovers and followers. These people are considered practical and inspiring role models, especially for the younger generation. This rule is not limited to the scientific and educational fields of the Quran; even an artist who has practiced for years in the field of Quranic arts, such as calligraphy and Quran writing, is ultimately considered a Quran scribe and calligrapher, and he develops the taste and talent of those interested in Quranic art.”

Salimi added, “The point is that some people gain a lasting name only by virtue of their activity in one Quranic branch. Therefore, a personality whose every aspect of life, thought, behavior, and character is colored and scented by the Quran is undoubtedly at the top of the Quranic ethics and conduct models.”

Emphasizing that the most perfect model of a Quranic personality is the Holy Prophet (PBUH), he said, “It has been said about that Prophet that his nature was the Quran, and truly, the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was the Quran incarnate. If we want to introduce a personality in the contemporary era who, in the light of following the Quranic conduct of the Prophet (PBUH), is a manifestation of these characteristics, we must mention the martyred Imam of the Ummah, a personality who spent 86 years of his blessed and virtuous life on the path of loving the Quran and showed in the field of thought and action that he is rightfully the commander of the front of reciting, memorizing, familiarizing himself with, and acting on the Quran.”

Salimi added, “Therefore, this great personality cannot be summarized in just one of the broad dimensions of his Quranic personality because the martyred Leader has left behind many works and blessings in the field of the Quran, thought and practice of the Quran. Each of these relics is considered a valuable asset for the Quranic community and must be carefully preserved, protected and strengthened so that it remains the focus of attention and concern of the Islamic community and everyone considers themselves responsible for it.”
