The Supreme Elections and Referendum Committee of Yemen organized the protest.

Participants in the protest, which was attended by committee member Judge Mohammed al-Aziz, Secretary-General Mohammed al-Jalal, directors-general, and staff, chanted slogans denouncing the enemies and condemning the ongoing American-Zionist insults to the Holy Quran, the source of guidance and honor for the nation.

The participants denounced the Zionists and Americans for once again insulting the Book of Allah Almighty, in a scene that reveals the level of hatred and animosity that the American-Zionist project harbors towards Islam and Islamic holy sites.

A statement issued by the organizers of the vigil, read by the committee's mobilization officer, Abdulsalam Al-Harethi, affirmed that the vigil was an expression of a clear faith-based stance and a religious responsibility that brooks no leniency towards this heinous crime perpetrated by the Zionist and American pigs.

The statement clarified that these insults are not isolated incidents or deliberate acts, but rather part of a comprehensive and systematic war targeting the Holy Quran, seeking to undermine its sanctity in the hearts of Muslims, strike at the nation's identity, and sever it from the source of its strength and glory.

The statement reiterated the commitment to the Holy Quran, the eternal and magnificent Book of God, its upright path and straight way, which is the source of the nation's identity, dignity, and honor.

It emphasized that any insult to the Holy Quran is a direct attack on the entire Muslim nation and will not be tolerated, accepted, or allowed to pass under any deceptive guise such as freedom of expression or other false pretenses, especially since all such pretenses crumble before the criticism of the Zionist enemy in America and the West, leaving no lasting impact.

The statement condemned the heinous crime of desecrating the Holy Quran, holding America, Britain, and the Zionist enemy fully responsible for the repeated offenses that reflect blatant hostility towards Islam and Muslims, consistent with their criminal record of aggression, occupation, violation of sacred sites, and the unjust killing of innocent people and prophets.

The statement also affirmed the continued and unwavering support of the armed forces and their high level of readiness to confront the aggression and restore the rights of the Yemeni people. It further emphasized the continuation of mobilization, recruitment, activities, and the tireless and relentless use of the boycott until victory.
