Iran National Quran Competition: Preliminary Stage Slated for Next Month

IQNA – More than 67,000 people have registered for the 49th National Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose preliminary stage will begin next month.

The registration deadline, which had been extended once, ended in late May.

A total of 67,843 people will participate in various sections of the competition, according to statistics.

The provinces of Khorasan Razavi and Isfahan account for the highest number of applicants for the contest.

The county and provincial stages of the competition will begin in next month according to the plans.

Those with the best performance will advance to the final stage, which is scheduled to be held in November and hosted by Zahedan, the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.

The National Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, is the largest Quranic contest in Iran, attracting participants from across the country to compete in various categories.

The annual competition, regarded as the most prestigious Quranic event in Iran, aims to promote Islamic values, foster Quranic literacy, and celebrate exceptional talent.
