Unity Signifies Taking Unified Stance on Muslim World Issues
Iraqi scholar and researcher Nabil Yaqubi made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that unity does not mean unification of all Islamic schools of thought but, rather, it means acting upon the religious and ideological beliefs of one’s own school of thought and at the same time taking a united stand about important issues of the Muslim world such as resistance against the global arrogance.
He said the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is a scientific and political figure who strives for promoting unity and fostering Islamic values in the world.
He added that Imam Khamenei is a unique and judicious leader who has long served Islam and endeavors for unity and solidarity among followers of the Islamic schools of thought.
Yaqubi referred to Imam Khamenei’s idea of Islamic civilization-making and confronting the Western liberalism, saying that the Supreme Leader’s ideas about contemporary issues like Islamic civilization making, resistance economy, and Islamic lifestyle are very influential.
He said the idea of confronting Western liberalism through Islamic civilization making helps to revive the Islamic civilization, which once was the leading civilization in the world.
The Iraqi scholar also pointed to the Supreme Leader’s attention to the issue of Palestine and said His Eminence attaches special importance on this major issue of the Muslim world.
“Palestine is the heart of the Muslim world and that is why the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has raised the issue and stresses the need for defending Palestine and Muslims who are suffering from the Zionist regime’s oppression.”
He further said when the Supreme Leader raises the issue of Muslim unity, His Eminence has great objectives in mind.

He stated that when Muslims are united, they can easily stand up against the enemies and support Islam.
Pointing to the Western media’s attention to the stances and views of Imam Khamenei, Yaqubi noted that these media consider the Supreme Leader’s views as strategically important and believe that what Imam Khamenei says has paramount significance in the political spheres.
