Speaking to IQNA, Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian said this huge gathering can become the largest field for promoting the culture of the Quran in the Islamic world.

“To achieve this, Quranic activities must be elevated from the format of side programs and become one of the main pillars of the cultural services of Arbaeen.”

The deputy interior minister stated that Quranic activities during the Arbaeen pilgrimage have become one of the important axes of the programs of this great event in recent years, an approach that, in addition to organizing Quran recitation gatherings, includes reflection sessions, competitions, and special programs for children and adolescents, aimed at transforming the concepts of the Quran into a lifestyle.

Pourjamshidian reiterated the necessity of developing Quranic activities in this great popular event, referring to the unique capacity of Arbaeen to promote Quranic culture.

Referring to the cultural developments of recent years, he said the Islamic Development Organization has taken valuable and effective measures in the country by focusing specifically on the field of Quran and Quranic concepts and teachings.

“This approach has caused Quranic activities to move away from being occasional programs and become part of the cultural flow of society.”

He said that today, more attention is paid to memorizing the Quran, understanding the concepts of divine verses, and applying the teachings of the Quran in individual and social life, and this issue can pave the way for the formation of a society based on Quranic values.

He also referred to the implementation of the national plan “Life with Verses”, describing it as one of the most successful Quranic programs in recent years.

It is a plan that attempts to take the concepts of the Quran beyond the level of mere education and incorporate it into the context of people's lives, he noted.

Emphasizing that the positive effects of the plan are clearly visible in different parts of the country, he said the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Islamic Development Organization, conducted a pilot implementation of this plan in some provinces and administrative complexes, and its results showed that there is a very good capacity for developing Quranic culture among the employees of the executive agencies.

He went on to say that if the Quran becomes the axis of the country's cultural programs, many social, cultural and moral harms will be reduced.

“Accordingly, the Ministry of Interior is ready to provide its extensive capacities for the development of Quranic programs, especially on occasions such as Arbaeen.”
