“An Introduction to Teachings of Islam” Course Planned in Belgium
According to quefaire website, the University of Brussels will host the course to be organized by Diversity Research Group.
The call for the course announced that: “during the recent 50 years, Islam has played a dynamic role in Europe and taking into account the increasing number of Muslim immigrants in European countries, there is a need for their religious and cultural identification in the society.”
“The educational course has been planned by the university to meet the same need and it is open to every citizen.”
“How Islam arrived in Europe and Belgium will be historically investigated during the course and the participants will discuss political and social aspects and influences of the presence of Muslims in the society based on official documents.”
“All of the citizens, particularly the staff of religious institutes and organizations dealing with the rights of religions and religious minorities can get acquainted with Islam and promote their activities in this respect through attending the course and provide better services to followers of Islam.”
