“Citizen in Modern Islamic Thought” Int’l Forum in Algeria

An international forum titled “Citizen in Modern Islamic Thought” will be held on November 18 and 19 at the Faculty of Humanities and Islamic Studies of Batna University in Algeria.


According to maghrebemergent website, the sixth edition the international forum will begin today evening with the participation of representatives from 12 countries as well as a delegation from the European Institute of Humanities based in Paris.



Saleh Boushish , dean of the faculty, said that the program will be organized in cooperation with the institute and lecturers from universities of Morocco, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, France, Palestine and some Islamic countries have been invited to present speeches at the two-day event.



The scholars and intellectuals will investigate Islamic jurisprudence about citizens’ rights, the status of citizen in the constitution of Islamic countries and modern Islamic jurisprudence.



He noted that 50 specialized sessions have also been planned for the researchers to get them acquainted with Islamic thought.
