According to Al-Raya newspaper, the tablet provides recitations of the entire Quran in different languages and by eminent Qaris of the world of Islam including Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, Al-Hasri, Al-Afasi and Mohammad Siddiq Minshawi.
Mohammad Shadi, director of advertisement and distribution of Dar-ol-Rashid Publication Center in Qatar, said that the tablet has also ten Quran interpretations such as Tafsir Al-Saadi, Al-Jawzi and Jalalayn.
It also facilitates memorization of the Holy Quran through a software program which enables the users to listen to each of the Quranic verses for three times and record the verses to check their recitations.
He added that translations of the Holy Quran into English, French, German, Indonesian, Spanish, Kurdish, Urdu, Russian, Turkish and Portuguese are also available on the tablet.
Those interested in Quranic stories and information on Quranic miracles in various fields of sciences, rhetoric, history and law can find them in the Quranic encyclopedia.
The software also includes questions and answers about Tajweed principles, explanation of Quranic terms with brief or detailed interpretations and religious injunctions in Maleki, Shafe’i, Hanafi and Hanbali schools of thought.
The 24th edition of international book fair in Doha began on December 4, and continues at the Exhibitions Center of the city until December 14.
