According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the contest aims to provide an opportunity for encouragement and promotion of Quran activists, creation of unity in the Quranic society in Europe, dissemination of the culture and teachings of the Holy Quran in different European countries and exchange of experience among top Quran reciters and memorizers.
Categories for male participants will include recitation of the Holy Quran, Quran concepts, Adhan and Tawasheeh and female participants should compete on Quran memorization and Tarteel recitation of the Holy Quran.
The Quranic contest will be organized in two age groups, less than 16 and above 16, and all Muslims of different Islamic schools of thought residing in Europe can register for the competition.
The contest will begin on March 14 from 5 p.m. local time and the closing ceremony will be held on March 16.
Top participants in each category will be awarded a Haj pilgrimage and the first-rank participants of the recitation and memorization categories will be dispatched for international Quran contests.
