20 Serbian Muslims Are Memorizers of Entire Quran

In Serbia where some 500,000 Muslims live, 20 Muslims have learned the entire Quran by heart.

This is according to Sheikh Fahd Al-Kundari, a Muslim scholar residing in France who works to assess the conditions of Quran memorizers and reciters in different European countries.

In the latest report he wrote about Quran activists in Serbia, Al-Kundari wrote that while there are half a million Muslims in Serbia, only 20 of them are memorizers of the entire Quran, ajib website reported.

He suggested that in order to develop Quran teaching in Serbia, Muslims all over Europe should provide assistance.

Al-Kundari also urged those who know of methods to advance learning memorization of the Quran to come forward and help the development of Quran memorization in Serbia. 

Serbia is a country of 7.5 million occupying 77,474 squre kilometers in the Western Balkans. It is bordered by Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia.
