ISESCO calls for protection of Muslims in Central African Republic

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) called on the government of the Central African Republic to protect Muslim citizens from brutal prejudice at the hands of extremist Christian factions.

ISESCO in a communiqué released today warned against the barbaric treatment by radical Christian militants of Muslims in Central African Republic, claiming the lives of hundreds of Muslims and leaving thousands displaced and properties destroyed.

In addition, ISESCO sent an urgent appeal to the United Nations, the African Union and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to immediately intervene to cease these horrific acts and preserve the rights of Muslims in the Central African Republic.
