2nd Int’l Conference on Contemporary Philosophy of Religion

The second edition of international conference on contemporary philosophy of religion will be held on January, 13 and 14 by Iranian Association for Philosophy of Religion in Tehran.




The Conference will be organized in cooperation with The Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies to establish the unique ground for dialogue and understanding among the very influential community of Philosophy of Religion from both West and East.



The international program will be chaired by Professor Hamidreza Ayatollahy, Chancellor of Iranian Association for Philosophy of Religion.



Professor Seyyed Hassan Hosseini and Amir Sadeghi are respectively the scientific and executive directors of the conference.



The two-day conference will explore the following issues: Comparative Theology, Science and Religion / Religious Science, Religious Diversity, Philosophy of Religion and Islamic Wisdom (Hekmat).



Steven T. Katz (Boston University, USA), Stephen Law (University of London), Joseph Diekemper (Queen's University Belfast), Ali Ebrahimzadeh (Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey Üniversites), Amir Dastmalchian (King’s College London), Norbert Hintersteiner (University of Münster, Germany) and Veronica Cibotaru (University Paris-Sorbonne and the Bergische University of the Wuppertal) are some of the lecturers who present papers in the first day of the conference.



The second day of the program will host lecturers such as Javad Taheri (Iranian Association for Philosophy of Religion), Alireza Sayadmansour (University of Tehran, Iran), Roohola Ramzani (Shahid Beheshti University, Iran), Arianne Conty (American University of Sharjah), Hadamy Mahjoub (University of Tunis), Thng Yi Ren (University of Cambridge, United Kingdom) and Reza Hosseini (Rhodes University, South Africa).
