According to Al-Hayat newspaper, Saleh Al Shaikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dissemination and Guidance in Saudi Arabia, said that the contest aims to encourage the younger generation to read the Divine Book and promote the culture of Quranic competitions in the society.
So far 15 editions of the contest, which have cost more than 22 million Saudi Rials, have been organized with the participation of 1413 Quran memorizers of the country.
The final stage of the 15th edition of the national event was attended by 108 Quran memorizers, including 48 female participants, from various parts of Saudi Arabia.
