Islamic unity will not be materialized just through by speeches scholars but rather every Muslim should strive for making it happen.

This is according to Olivier Lemoen, political analyst and spokesman for France’s Solidarity Party, who told IQNA that each one who leaves the ranks of Takfiri extremists is actually joining the Islamic fraternity ranks.

He urged independent Islamic media to unite and inform Muslims about the reality of Takfiri groups and warned them against being trapped by such extremist groups.

The political analyst noted that most Western media have an Islamophobic agenda because they follow the path that suits the West’s colonial policies.

He underscored that trusting those media will have no other outcome for Muslims than failure.

He further stated that sectarianism is the main problem in the Muslim world today, especially in the Middle Eastern countries, and that the West is certainly planning to use this as an opportunity to dominate the region.

“Muslims who have always been concerned about the West and fought against Western colonialism are now unwittingly serving the West due to plots hatched by certain countries.”

Lemoen said groups like Al-Qaeda, Daesh (the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant), Al-Nusra and others are killing Muslims in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon and that reflect s Muslims’ weakness in the realm of religious unity.

“If Muslims remain silent in the face of the growth of extremist groups … the flames of these seditions will reach them as well. They should realize that the existence of such radical groups means the end of unity and solidarity among Muslims.”

He reiterated the role of Muslim media in reflecting the issues of the Muslim world and raising people’s awareness about what is going on in the world.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Lemoen referred to the Zionist regime as the common enemy of all Muslims and said the issue of Palestine and its liberation from the Zionist occupation can be a unifying factor for the Islamic world.

Born in 1968 in Paris, Lemoen studied philosophy in Sorbonne and got his PhD in Religious Studies. He has conducted studies about Shia Islam in the Sorbonne and currently is the spokesman for the Solidarity Party of France.

The party was established in 2010 in Paris and has been active in opposing the Zionist regime’s occupation of Palestine.
