Final Round of UAE Nat’l Quran Competition to Start Saturday

The final stage of the 15th National Holy Quran Competition of the United Arab Emirates is set to start on Saturday, January 25.

87 men and 95 women from different cities of the UAE have made it to the final stage, Al-Imaratiya website reported.

This stage will be held in the categories of memorizing the entire Quran as well as memorization of 20, 10 and 5 Juzes (parts) of the Holy Book.

Those under the age of ten compete in the category of learning 3 Juzes of the Quran by heart.

The final stage in the men’s section will run until February 2, while the women’s contest continues until February 3.

The jury panels of the men’s and women’s sections of the competition are made up of Quran experts including Ali Hassan Abdullah, Kamal Ahmed Taher, Jasim Muhammad Al-Amiri, Fuziya Jafar Al-Zaruni and Fatima Hussayn Al Ali.
