Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman made the remarks in a press conference in Tehran on Saturday, adding that the celebrations will be organized by Iran’s cultural centers in those countries.
He further elaborated on the history and activities of the ICRO, noting that the organization was founded in 1996.
He added that translation of Iranian-Islamic works into different languages, holding cultural weeks in different countries, and spreading the Persian language are among the activities of the ICRO.
Torkaman, who has recently been appointed as the ICRO president, said during his tenure the organization’s motto will be “Cultural Power of Iranians Abroad”.
He further said that one of the main missions of the organization is promoting and clarifying the ideas and thoughts of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA) and fostering the Islamic Revolution discourse.
Also speaking at the press conference was Asgari, the ICRO’s cultural deputy, who said the accomplishments of the Islamic Revolution will be introduced via different programs in 28 countries.
He said the programs include speeches by Iranian scholars, book fairs, and photo exhibitions.
