Addressing the “Religious Pluralism in Perspective of Civilizational Dialogue” Conference, Ali al-Adib said such a meeting would help to strengthen unity and proximity among Islamic schools of thought.
Al-Adib called for confronting division and discord in the Muslim world, saying that it needs the cooperation of scholars and thinkers of all schools of thought.
The conference on “Religious Pluralism in Perspective of Civilizational Dialogue” was held in the Iraqi city of Kufa earlier this week.
Organized by the University of Kufa and the Najaf-based Center for Intellectual Studies, the conference was attended by a number of influential figures and scholars from different Muslim countries.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki was among the participants in the international event.
