First Azan and Quran Contest Held in Dammam for Indian Students

The first ever “Azan and Quran Recitation” competition organized by the boys section of the International Indian School in Dammam concluded successfully in a grand finale.

 

Over 170 boys from different sections participated in the competition. Member of the School Managing Committee Abdulla Manjeri inaugurated the event in the presence of senior school officials and faculty members.
Dr. Sami Avadullah Al Sullavi (Dammam Medical Complex), Imam of Al Safa Mazjid, Rakah delivered the introductory address. Al Sullavi in his discourse emphasized the need to understand and appreciate the Quran in its true entirety and the need to recite it in a pattern.
In the Quran recitation competition, Master Abdul Rahiman (sub-junior), Ibrahim Shaikh Mohammed (junior), Syed Yunus (senior) and Yusuf Zayid (higher secondary) were the winners respectively.
Meanwhile, in the azan contest, Ameen (sub-junior), Zannoon Ahmed (junior), Abid Gayaz (senior) and Mutheeur Rahman (higher secondary) won the first places respectively. Bismillah Baig, Ahmed Shihabuddin, and Maulana Diya were the judges of the competition.
The organizing committee presented the awards to the winners.
