There are two different approaches to the realities of the Muslim world today, the Friday prayers leader of Najaf, Iraq, told IQNA.

Hojat-ol-Islam Sadreddin Qabanchi said one group of scholars see the conditions of Fitna and a turning back among Muslims while the second group sees awareness and awakening in Islamic countries.
He said the first group of scholars, to prove their view, refer to the blood spilled in clashes among Muslims and troubles in the Islamic world and the Fatwas of Takfiri extremists, and say this is the reality in the Muslim world today.
“They say the Muslim world is moving backward and there is no progress expected for it.”
He said the other approach sees the Muslim world as having escaped from the past restrictions and believes that Islamic awareness and awakening is spreading, as the regional revolutions show.
Hojat-ol-Islam Qabanchi said he holds the second approach, adding that the Muslim world has made a great leap forward in the past few years.
Today, Islam has spread to all countries in the world, including those in Europe, he said.
He stated that the enemies do not want to see this progress and that is why they make attempts to hinder the path of the Muslim world forward.
The Iraqi cleric noted that the awakening in the Islamic world did not exist in the past and that is why the enemies would not react.
“Seeing the progress of the Muslim world, the enemies have decided to impede its advancement.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Qabanchi further referred to the fortitude and steadfastness of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in spreading the message of Islam and underlined that Muslims, too, should follow the example of the Holy prophet (PBUH) in order to materialize Islam’s objectives.
