Quranic Recitation Contest Held in Punjab

The 16th Annual International Mefil-e-Hussan-e-Qira’at Quranic event was held in the city of Daska, Punjab province of Pakistan, under the auspices of Anjuman Sotul Quraa on Saturday.

Leading Quran reciters including Dr Al-Sheikh Nasir Hark (Egypt), Qari Muhammad Sabeehud Din Sabeeh, Qari Muhammad Nisar Sindhi (Karachi), Qari Abdul Rehman (Quetta), Qari Mehmood Sadique (Faisalabad), local Ulema, Punjab Minister for Social Welfare and Baitul Mal Syed Haroon Ahmed Sultan, MNA Syed Iftikharul Hassan, MPA Muhammad Asif Bajwa, and thousands of people participated in the prestigious event.
Addressing the participants, Ahmed Sultan said that the Holy Quran is a complete code of life and true path for the whole of mankind who can achieve success by following the teachings of Quran.
“The recitation of Holy Quran blooms the hearts with the spiritual satisfaction. Remembrance of Allah Almighty gives the immortal solace, spiritual satisfaction and peace of mind and hearts, showing us the true path of goodness,” he said.
According to the president of Anjuman Soatul Quraa, Naveed Ahmed, three male and two female participants won air tickets for Umrah (minor Hajj) pilgrimage to Makkah.
