44 Quran memorizers and reciters from 21 countries will compete in different categories of the contest, tunisien.tn website reported.
Tunisia’s religious minister will be present at the opening ceremony, slated to be held at 2:30 p.m. local time in the town of El Bradaa.
This year’s competition has been named after Allamah Ahmed bin Ammar Al-Mahdawi.
Peyman Ayazi and Mahmoud Noruozi will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the contest. They will respectively compete in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran and recitation of the Quran along with memorization of 15 Juzes (sections).
