According to webmanagercenter, the closing ceremony of the competition was held yesterday, May 9, at Dar-ul-Ziafah in Tunis, with the participation of Munsef Marzuqi, President of Tunisia, Munir Al-Talili, Minister of Religious Affairs and a number of ambassadors and representatives of Islamic countries in Tunisia.
Participants from Turkey, Algeria, Iran, Morocco and Libya were respectively the first to the fifth rank winners of the competiton in the recitation category.
Representatives from Kuwait, Tunisia and Algeria were respectively selected as three top Quran memorizers of the international competition.
Top fourth and fifth Quran memorizers of the competition were participants from Libya and Tunisia.
The 4th edition of Tunisia’s International Holy Quran Award, named after Allamah Ahmed bin Ammar Al-Mahdawi, was held in the town of El Bradaa.
44 Quran memorizers and reciters from 21 countries attended the competition from May 3 to 9.
