Iran's Ambassador to Kuwait Ali Reza Enayati said the Kuwaiti ruler will also hold talks with President Hassan Rouhani.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah will arrive in Tehran on Sunday.
Enayati said that bilateral ties between the two countries in various areas such as economy, culture, transportation, customs and tourism will be discussed during the state visit.
On Friday, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the visit by Kuwaiti Emir to Tehran would open a new chapter in relations between the two countries.
The trip would be a milestone in bilateral ties, Zarif said in a meeting with Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah.
Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah’s trip to the Islamic Republic will be his first since he became the ruler of Kuwait in 2006.
