Final Stage of Mauritania's Quran Contest Slated for Monday

The final round of Mauritania's 3rd national Quran competition will be held on Monday, June 3.

The Ibn Abbas Mosque in the capital city of Nouakchott will host the event, which is jointly organized by the country's Quran Radio and Al-Mahzar TV channel.
1800 top Quran memorizers and reciters of Mauritania will compete in the final stage and 63 will be awarded at the end of the contest.
As well as the competition winners, 3 scientific and religious figures and 10 religious schools will be honored at the closing ceremony. 
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania is a country in West Africa. Almost all residents of the country are Muslims.
