A number of scholars from Egypt's Al-Azhar Islamic Center have urged for international intervention to put an end to the Zionist regime's atrocious onslaught on the Gaza Strip.

They said the international community must take immediate steps to stop the Zionist regime's aggressions against Palestinians.
This comes as a humanitarian crisis is unfolding in the Gaza Strip as hospitals in the besieged Palestinian coastal sliver are in a dire need of medical supplies amid continued Israeli military aggression, according to Press TV.
A total of 163 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have lost their lives in the impoverished region since Tuesday when Israeli attacks began. Nearly 1,100 others have been also injured in the ongoing deadly air raids.
This is while Israeli tanks have now lined up along the Gaza border, firing into the region. Tel Aviv has also mobilized some 33,000 reservists in preparation for a possible ground incursion.
Meanwhile, the storage of medical facilities in Gaza City is almost empty, and the largest medical complex and central hospital of the city – al-Shifa Hospital – is so badly underequipped that it cannot cope with the influx of Palestinians injured in Israeli airstrikes.
Many of the fatalities occur due to a lack of necessary medical equipment and life support machines.
Palestinian officials are warning that a health crisis is imminent in the Gaza Strip unless serious measures are taken to stop it.
Years of Israeli blockade as well as frequent military campaigns by the Tel Aviv regime have already shattered Gaza’s health care system.
