According to IQNA’s branch in South East Asia, the Islamic Center of Bangkok hosted the festival, which was held in cooperation with the International Propagation Center affiliated to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).
A Quran exhibition, religious book fair and Quran recitation sessions were some of the programs of the festival.
Some 40 artworks including paintings, calligraphy works and illuminations by Mahdi Irani, eminent Iranian artist were on display at the exhibition.
He also held a workshop during the festival starting from July 18.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by a large number of worshippers at the Grand Mosque of the Islamic Center of Bangkok.
A one-day forum was also organized by the Islamic Center of Thailand on the sidelines of the event with the aim of supporting the oppressed Palestinian people.
A number of political and social figures of Thailand as well as imams of mosques attended the program and condemned the Zionists’ crimes in Gaza.
The Quranic festival concluded on Tuesday, July 22.
