After fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, it’s the time for feasts and celebrations. Muslims in India are gearing up to mark the end of Ramadan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

Shopkeepers and street vendors are stocking up with their latest data-x-items ahead of the festive occasion.
Along the famous market of Nizamudin in New Delhi, streets are buzzing with shoppers buying clothes and other accessories. On display are varieties of colorful outfits for men, women, and children.
On the day of Eid, food is distributed among friends and neighbors. Eid al-Fitr is the day when every Muslim gives a mandatory charity to the poor called Zakat al-Fitr and performs special prayers in mosques.
In Delhi the fervor of Eid celebrations is unique; not just the Muslims but people from other communities regardless of their religious affiliations take part in the festivity.
