Speaking to IQNA, Bathina al-Jalasi, said the Islamic Republic of Iran's international Quran exhibition, which showcases Quranic artworks is a major step in spreading the teachings of the Holy Book via the language of art.
She said such events serve the Holy Book and help to foster the Quranic concepts in society.
Al-Jalasi, who attended the 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran last month, described the expo as a successful experience.
"In this exhibition, I got acquainted with artists from different countries, artists whose works shows their closeness to the teachings of the Quran," she stated.
The 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition was held at the Holy Defense Garden-Museum from June 24 until July 23.
It included several sections such as academics, children, international and digital media.
Elsewhere in her remarks, Al-Jalasi urged for strengthening interactions among Muslim artists and said the first step in that direction is accepting the differences of opinion.
The Tunisian artist and university scholar further reiterated that arts, especially the art of calligraphy, are good means to serve the Quran and promote Quranic teachings.
