Imam Reza (AS) Festival Planned in 75 Cities World Over
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman noted that the festival has been held annually for the past 12 years and that its international section has been organized since six years ago.
He said the ICRO holds the international section of the event in cooperation with a number of other bodies.
According to the official, cultural packages related to the festival have been prepared and sent to Iran's cultural centers in countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tajikistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Afghanistan, Pakistan, US, and Germany.
Ebrahimi Torkaman said part of this year's festival includes honoring foreign scholars, researchers and artists who have taken steps to promote the Razavi culture and the Seerah and character of Imam Reza (AS).
He said those selected to be honored in the festival during the Ten-day Karamat Occasion (the ten days between birth anniversaries of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and Imam Reza (AS)- August 28-September 7) are from Switzerland, Georgia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Nigeria, Madagascar, Spain and Uganda.
