An Al-Mustafa International University scholar said 9 volumes of the Jami Al-Athari Exegesis of the Holy Quran are ready for publication.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mehdi Rostamnejad told IQNA that 20 volumes of the grand work have been compiled, 9 of which are ready for print and the other are in the editing stage.
He said the 20 volumes cover the interpretation of the Quran from beginning to verse 100 of Surah al-A'araf.
The cleric, who is part of the team working on the exegesis, said that upon completion, the entire Quran exegesis will include some 45 volumes.
Hojat-ol-Islam Rostamnejad also noted that the first six volumes of the work, written by late Ayatollah Ma'refat, have already been published
He added that the project for compiling the entire work will take 15 to 20 years to complete.
The project is implemented by experts of the Quranic Studies Department of the Islamic Culture and Thought Research Center.
According to Hojat-ol-Islam Rostamnejad, all Hadiths and narrations about a verse found in Shia and Sunni sources and collections are considered in writing the interpretation of the verse.
He said the narration are presented in an Ijtihadi order, namely, Hadiths related to the Sha'an Nuzul (reasons of revelation) come first, and then there are Hadiths regarding Qara'a, meanings of words, and the content and intent of the verse.
He went on to say that the Jami Al-Athari Quran Exegesis will be a reference book for those who have expertise in the fields of Quranic and Hadith sciences.
The scholar stressed that the work would benefit the entire Islamic community, both Shias and Sunnis.
