Brazil Hosts LatAm Quran Competition

The first edition of Latin America's Quran memorization competition was organized by the International Association of Quran Memorization in Brazil


According to Sada el-balad website, the competition was organized in cooperation with the World Assembly of Muslim Youth in Brazil. 

The judging board of the competition was chaired by Sheikh Ahmad Batiayah.

Sheikh Abdullah Mohib from Syria, Sheikh Sufyan Bumarigh from the Netherlands, and Sheikh Ali Abduni from Brazil were other members of the board.

25 Quran memorizers from Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Suriname, Guyana, Panama, Trinidad, Barbados and some other countries of the region took part in the Quranic event.

The participants competed in 4 categories of memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 10 and 5 Juzes (parts) and the 30th Juz of the Quran.
