The ministry announced that the plan will be implemented in schools for exceptional talents, jaded al-Yawm website reported. Hassaneddin Abdul Hamid, an official with the education ministry, said 15 schools for exceptional talents have been selected to implement the plan for boys and girls. He added that some 1090 Quran teachers will teach the courses, namely one teacher for every ten students. Malaysia is a South East Asian country the majority of whose population is Muslim. According to 2011 statistics, there are 278 Quran memorization centers in the country, most of which are run by non-governmental organizations.
